UltraTech Cement Adds 1.4 Million Tonne Annual Capacity Through Efficiency Boost

UltraTech Cement on Monday said it has increased its production capacity by 1.4 million tonnes per annum by debottlenecking and improving efficiency at various locations.

The company added 600,000 tonnes per annum at its grinding unit in Nagpur, Maharashtra, and 400,000 tonnes each at its Panipat and Jhajjar units in Haryana, it said in an exchange filing.

With this, UltraTech’s total domestic grey cement capacity stands at 184.76 million tonnes per annum. Including its overseas operations, the company’s global capacity now totals 190.16 million tonnes per annum.
