JSW Steel Ltd. on Tuesday reported consolidated crude steel production of 7.26 million tonnes for the June quarter, up 14% from a year ago but down 5% sequentially due to planned blast furnace shutdowns.
Production from Indian operations rose 15% on year to 7.02 million tonnes, the company said in a filing. Capacity utilisation at its domestic plants stood at 87% during the quarter. The furnaces shut for maintenance have since resumed operations at optimum capacity.
