Eternal Ltd. on Thursday clarified that Rakesh Ranjan, Chief Executive Officer of its food delivery unit, has not resigned and continues to be part of the company's leadership team. The clarification came after a report in The Economic Times claimed Ranjan was stepping down, with Eternal's co-founder Deepinder Goyal expected to take over.

In an exchange filing, the company said, "At Eternal Group, internal reshuffling of the leadership team is considered a standard practice as part of the company's ongoing efforts to optimise organisational effectiveness."

The company emphasised that any material developments would be disclosed to the exchanges in a "timely and transparent manner."

The ET report had suggested that Goyal would temporarily oversee the food delivery business until a new CEO is appointed. Eternal did not comment directly on that claim but reaffirmed that Ranjan remains in position as of now.
