Coal India To Supply Green Power To AM Green's Ammonia Project

Coal India on Wednesday said it has signed a non-binding agreement with AM Green Ammonia (India) Pvt. Ltd. to supply renewable energy to the latter’s green ammonia project in Kandla, Gujarat.

Under the agreement, Coal India will provide green power from its 4.5-GW renewable energy projects, the company said in a filing to the exchanges.

As part of its broader clean energy push, the state-run miner is also setting up a Centre of Clean Coal Energy and Net Zero in Hyderabad. The upcoming facility will focus on research and innovation in sustainable coal technologies and net-zero strategies.
