Tata Motors’ Demerger Scheme to Take Effect from October 1

Tata Motors Ltd. on Friday said it has received the certified copy of the order from the Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal approving the scheme of arrangement involving the company, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles Ltd., and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.

The demerger will become effective on the date the certified order is filed with the registrar of companies. The boards of the respective companies, in meetings held on Friday, resolved to make the scheme effective from October 1, the company said in an exchange filing.
