Ramakrishnan Chander Appointed CIO At LIC

Life Insurance Corp. of India said Ramakrishnan Chander has taken charge as chief investment officer, according to a stock exchange filing. He previously served as executive director – investment (front office).

Chander, who has spent nearly 35 years with the insurer, is now part ofLIC’s key management personnel.

LIC had ₹54.52 trillion in assets under management as of March 31. The company reported a PAT of ₹481.51 billion in 2024-25, up over 18% from the previous year, even as net premium income grew just under 3%.
