ONGC Awards Three-Year Rig Contract To Jindal Drilling

Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd. has issued a notification of award to Jindal Drilling and Industries Ltd. for the deployment of the jack-up drilling rig Jindal Explorer, owned by Maharashtra Seamless Ltd., for a three-year term at an effective day rate of $35,138.71, the company said in an exchange filing.
The current contract of ONGC for Jindal Explorer is expected to end in the June quarter, and the new contract is likely to begin in the December quarter.
