NMDC Denies Misconduct in Aussie Unit Investment

NMDC Ltd. on Monday denied allegations of wrongdoing in its investments in Australian unit Legacy Iron Ore Ltd., calling recent media reports and anonymous complaints “false and baseless.”

The company said the investments were approved by its board, and mining operations at Legacy have only recently started, requiring phased capital infusion for development and infrastructure.
