Lupin Launches Generic Rivaroxaban Oral Suspension in US for Paediatric Use

Lupin Ltd. said on Wednesday it has launched a generic version of Rivaroxaban oral suspension in the US. The drug is a generic of Janssen Pharmaceutical Inc.’s Xarelto oral suspension, the company said in a press release.

Rivaroxaban treats venous thromboembolism, a condition in which a blood clot forms in a deep vein, mostly in the legs or pelvis. It is indicated for paediatric patients or those aged under 18 years.

Lupin cited IQVIA data showing the drug had US sales of $11 million for the 12 months ended July.
