Coal India Sets 875 Million Tonne Output Target For 2025-26

Coal India Ltd.'s coal production target has been fixed at 875 million tonnes for 2025–26, the Ministry of Coal said in a release on Sunday.

For subsequent years, the state-run miner has set higher goals: 1.00 billion tonnes in 2026–27, 1.04 billion tonnes in 2027–28, 1.08 billion tonnes in 2028–29, and 1.13 billion tonnes in 2029–30.

India’s total coal production in 2024–25 had already crossed 1.00 billion tonnes and stood at 1.05 billion tonnes. Of this, Coal India accounted for 781.07 million tonnes, the ministry said.
