AstraZeneca Pharma Gets CDSCO Nod For New Use Of Severe Asthma Drug

AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd. on Thursday said it has received approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization to import and sell Benralizumab 30 mg injection in India with an additional indication.

The drug, already approved for severe asthma, can now also be used as an add-on treatment for adult patients with relapsing or refractory eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis, the company said in an exchange filing.
